# ExpoShelf Shelf Pusher System Calculator

**Live tool:** https://www.exposhelf.com/calculator
**Free to use. No login required.**

## What It Does

The ExpoShelf Spring Force Calculator helps retailers and shelf planners find the correct push-feed spring system for their shelves. Enter your product dimensions, weight, and shelf size — the tool instantly recommends the right spring force code and shows matching ExpoShelf products with pricing.

The calculator is built for buyers, planners, and distributors who need to specify the correct POS Tuning shelf pusher system for a retail installation.

## Outputs

### Spring Force Code
A code indicating the Newton-force range required for the pusher spring. Examples:
- `4to8` — light products (4–8 N)
- `7to11` — medium products (7–11 N)
- `10to14` — heavier products (10–14 N)
- `14to18` — heavy products (14–18 N)
- `double 7to11` — requires two pushers per facing (double pusher configuration)
- `double 10to14` — heavy product requiring double pusher setup

When a **double pusher** is recommended, two spring units are placed per product facing to ensure reliable feed.

### Facings Per Shelf
Estimated number of product facings that fit across the shelf width, calculated as:
`floor(shelfWidth / (productWidth + 0.5cm gap))`

### Matching Product Catalog
A filtered list of ExpoShelf products compatible with the recommended spring force, including:
- Product name and model description
- Newton force rating
- Required shelf depth (mm)
- Estimated price in USD (converted from EUR at live exchange rate)
- Product category

## How the Spring Force Is Calculated

1. All inputs are converted to metric (cm, grams) internally.
2. Product weight is rounded to the nearest 10g (under 100g) or 50g (100g and above).
3. The closest standard depth interval is selected from: 0.5, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 cm.
4. The spring force code is looked up from a chart indexed by weight × depth.
5. If the required force exceeds single-pusher capacity, a double pusher configuration is recommended.
